How to Use the Design Message Help in AWeber

People love sending thank you cards and getting birthday/anniversary presents. But sometimes, the process can feel a little bit impersonal. Wouldn’t it be great if you could get the feel of a real personalised greeting card without all the fuss?

Well, you can with AWeber. With their design message feature, you can put a personalised message on your e-cards, social media posts, and more. In this article, we’ll teach you how to make the most of this feature so you can create an e-card that’s as good as sending a real, hard-copy one.

The Basics

To use the design message feature in AWeber, you’ll need to have a semi- or fully customised e-card to begin with. You’ll also need to have a basic understanding of how e-cards and templates work in general. AWeber provides great tutorials for both topics if you’re looking for some help.

Once you have that, you’re ready to start customising your e-card. First, go to the Design tab at the top of your AWeber dashboard.

Here, you’ll find a whole host of ready-to-use templates, fonts, colours, and other graphic elements you can use to style your e-card. You can add a photo or a logo to the front if you’d like. Just remember that the template will only resize images to a certain size limit.

For the purposes of this tutorial, we’ll be using the basic black e-card template.

Step 1: Add A Personalised Message

Go to the template, and you’ll see a big red button at the top right. That’s the place you need to click to add your message. When you do, you’ll be taken to the Add Design Message page. Here, you can put a text or a photo message for the recipient of this e-card. You can even add a nice little designator to make it more personal.

In our case, we’ll add a simple message that thanks the person for their support in our journey to create the Blogger Template. We’ll also put their name in the first line so it feels more like a personalised card.

Once you’ve entered your message, click the blue Create button to confirm your changes and send your e-card.

The Result

Depending on how much you customised your e-card, it may take a few minutes for the changes to be reflected. When that happens, go back to the Design tab and you’ll see your beautiful, shiny new e-card there. You can click on the tiny envelope icon in the top right corner to drop your e-card in the mail to your recipient.

So, what did we learn from this tutorial? We learned how to put a personalised message on our e-cards. To do that, we used the Design message feature in AWeber. We also looked at how to use templates in AWeber so we could better understand how e-cards work. With templates, you don’t need to worry about sizing images as much. You can always go back and tweak things later on if you want to change something about the way the card looks. Overall, this is a great feature to have in AWeber if you’re looking to take your e-cards to the next level.
