How to Send a Legacy Follow-up Message in AWeber

Have you ever felt like you were chatting with a friend and ended up staying connected even after your chat session ended? You can do that in AWeber as long as you follow a few steps.

You can use the legacy feature to send a message to someone that you’ve recently interacted with in the past. With AWeber’s legacy feature, you can choose who you want to message, when you want to send the message, and what you want to say in your follow-up message. You can also make it appear as though you were still chatting with the person as you sent the message. This way, the person will feel like you were still interested in chatting with them even after you hit “send” on your previous email.

Here’s how to do that in AWeber:

Set Up The Follow-up Email

When you use AWeber to send email marketing campaigns, you will notice that every email you send contains a “Follow-up” button. When you click on that button, you will be taken to a page that allows you to compose a new message to send to the person who just read your last email.

If you’re a marketer, you can use this feature to send customers to a landing page or other content that will help them solve a problem or satisfy an interest. For example, if you sell beach bags, you can use the follow-up button to send customers to an informative page about the styles of bags that you sell.

To get started, click on the “Follow-up” button in the upper-right corner of any email you send from AWeber. Then, click on the “New Message” button to compose your first follow-up email.

Choose The Person You Want To Message

On the New Message screen that pops up, type the email address of the person you want to message in the “To” field. Then, type the subject of your message in the “Subject” field. After that, click on the “Send” button to send your message.

To select an audience using a targeted list, click on the “Targeted List” option at the bottom of the “To” field. For example, you can choose to send this message to all the people in your targeted list for SEO purposes or to send it to a smaller group of people you’ve selected using a combination of the email marketing software, email list segmentation tools, and marketing analytics software.

Customize The Follow-up Email Body

While you’re on the New Message screen, you can enter the main body of your message in the “Body” field. This is where you can write the content of your message. If you’re new to email marketing, it’s a good idea to check out some of AWeber’s informative email templates that you can use as a starting point for your own campaigns.

You can modify the template’s HTML to fit your needs. Just remember that you can’t modify the text that’s been entered in the “Body” field. Rather, you can alter the order of the elements within the template. For example, you can move the headline and call-to-action to the beginning of the message to create a more powerful impact.

Check Your Email For Delivery

When you send an email using AWeber, an envelope with the person’s email address on it will appear in the “IN” field of the email. This is to notify you that the message has been delivered and read.

You can also click on the envelope to see a list of the email’s recipients. You can click on the “+” button to see more recipients or the “X” button to delete the email address from the list.

You can use the following features to further customize your email marketing:

  • Reply To: Allows you to send an email to multiple recipients using the same content;
  • CC: Causes a copy of the email to be sent to other recipients;
  • Bcc: Forces copies of the email to be sent to other recipients;
  • Frequency: Allows you to select how often you want your email to be sent (i.e., once, weekly, or monthly);
  • Subject: Allows you to customise the subject line for your email; and
  • Automation: Allows you to set up automated emails that will send out at regular intervals.

Don’t forget to experiment with the different emails templates that AWeber offers to find the one that is the best suited for your needs. You can also use the software’s FAQ section to get answers to common questions about email marketing.
